Introvert Sensing Feeling Perceiving


I'm not suprised at all, I remember taking a test about my personality back in my sophmore year of high school. My teacher did an activity with our personality types by posting on the screen two sets, one for extroverts and one for the introverts, and a order of the rest of the traits. Our job was to line up according to our personality type. When we eventually lined up, our teacher asks, "Did you notice how everyone lined up? The introverts did not talk at all when lining up, they just looked at the screen and knew where to go, while the extroverts talked to each other working together to figure out who is what and where to go" I always found that interesting.


Again I wasn't very suprised, however when it came down to feeling and perceiving, I felt like I could go either way. I do pay attention to my emotions, and they are important to me, however I don't rely on them to make certain decisions. Though this personality type describes me pretty well, I think my personality can go many ways.

When it comes to learning, I like things being straight forward. You could say I'm "lazy" but thats how I think I learn the best. I like being told what is what, a=b, when questions are open ended and seem to trick you, I get frustrated and confused. My personality I think says that I don't like writing essays, I have to disagree, because I like writing essays as a test.

MLK Speaker

This past Tuesday I went to the MLK speaker at Pruis hall. The speaker was Reverend Joseph Lowery, a man who worked along Martin Luther King Jr in the Civil Rights movement. I didn't know him by his name...but I recognized his face.

The Reverend was very interesting, but I found difficult, to listen to. He made many jokes which made the audience and me laugh. I loved when he made a reference to a man in american idol when a guy had asked the reverend a question. However what I found difficult was his voice. I think it was his age that gave his voice a worn out sound, but I had trouble listening to everything he said and missed some of the punchlines to his jokes.

What I also loved was his numerous examples, like how to love someone. For example he mentioned the phrase "give a man a fish and he's fed for a day, teach him how to fish and he's fed for a lifetime." We need to help people in ways that they learn how to help themselves, and even others, like pay it forward.

What I also liked was at the end he mentioned we need to take inventory in the country, how are we doing? I think we have a whole lot to do, since still after around 50 to 60 years after the time of MLK JR, not everyone is free.

New Semester, New Goals

Anyways, now that this is the spring semester, I have new goals for my writing. When I wrote my timed essay back in december, I talked about how I wanted to work on my sentence structure. A lot of feedback on my papers said that my sentences didn't flow very wdell and was hard to follow. So its my new goal on trying to work on my sentence flow
